Pine Ridge Academy Adolescent
Residential Treatment Center and Boarding School for troubled
youth provides a structured setting for students; however, the therapeutic
program and staffing pattern is not as intense as Youth Care. Students
receive one individual therapy session per week, one family therapy
session each week, an accredited school program, a substance abuse
program, recreational therapy and one psychiatric visit once a month.
Just like Youth Care, Pine Ridge is a small home setting. Pine Ridge
is located in West Jordan, Utah, which is just 15 minutes from Youth
Care Academy or 30 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. Please contact
an Admissions Counselor for the current tuition rates.
Youth Care of Utah offers a continuum of care for adolescents ages 11-18 who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems including drug or alcohol abuse. Our continuum is broken into two different programsYouth Care Academy and Pine Ridge Academy. Not every student will attend all of the programs. The continuum of services is available so a plan can individually be planned for each adolescent.Day Treatment Programs are available at both Youth Care and Pine Ridge.
Day Treatment provides the same therapeutic program as their respective residential programs; however, students live with their own families at night and on weekends. Therapists support families as they implement family rules, provide important feedback, and rebuild their family dynamics. Students in this program attend from 7:30 am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday. This program allows students to apply the new principles they are learning in treatment to their home and daily living situations.
Independent Community Placement Programs are available at both Youth Care and Pine Ridge. In this program, students live with families within the community and attend either Pine Ridge Academy or Youth Care Academy during the weekday. This program is designed as an extension of our residential program for students who need a realistic transition before returning home to their families. Again, students continue to receive therapeutic support throughout this placement but are given extra privileges and opportunities to implement newfound therapeutic skills and self-management techniques. These costs are the same as the respective programs.
The above rates include all therapy sessions. Psychiatrist visits, academic program, recreational activities and room and board. Many insurance companies will pay for all or part of childs stay. If you are interested in insurance information, we would be happy to check your benefits without obligation.
